ERIC is a shy, but likable young man who’s tired of being single. When Eric spots JESSIE, his dream girl who works as a waitress at the Pigeon Diner, he musters up all his courage to ask her out. After an awkward approach, the mission seems doomed, but to Eric’s surprise, Jessie comes after him and agrees to go out. After a few dates, Eric and Jessie become a couple and live happily ever after… Not! While being out with his buddies at a bar, Eric runs into Jessie who suddenly claims to be nothing but friends. Eric is confused, gets angry and ultimately experiences a mental breakdown. Waking up in a psychiatric hospital room, Eric learns that he suffers from schizophrenic hallucinations and that his relationship with Jessie wasn’t real. Eric must now decide between the comforting imagination of being in a relationship with Jessie, or letting go of his dream girl and face the harsh reality of being alone again.
